Check out Mule Days in Bishop this May
Bishop’s beloved annual Memorial Day week event is back this year! This May 21st to 26th, Mule Days returns for the 50th anniversary of the “Greatest Mule Show on Earth.” If you haven’t been to Mule Days before, this is a six-day event that celebrates the “resilient, tough, hardworking and friendly animal we call the Mule!” Each year for fifty years, crowds from all over the world have come to Bishop to take part in this joyous event - from young children to those who are young at heart, Mule Days is fun for everyone.
As well as rodeo events (featuring mules, of course!), there are also live music performances, barbecue and lots of food, dancing, the Mule Parade, and much more. Live music and entertainment include yodelling and accordion on opening night, Grammy winning classic cowboy quartet Riders in the Sky on May 23, Monte Mills and the Lucky Horseshoe Band performing at the Mule Days Country Dance on May 25, and much more. Plus, don’t miss Cowboy Church on Sunday May 26th at 10 am, which will feature Mule Days’ very own Frankie “Punkintown” Smith as Pastor.
No matter your budget, there is a ticket or attendance package suited for everyone. General Admission tickets start at just $10 for children and $15 for adults. Special event tickets range from $10 for the Mule Days Dance to $45 for reserved seating at the Riders in the Sky concert. There are also VIP tickets and packages available if you’re looking to make the event a little extra special for you and your group!
Mule Days all takes place at the Tri-County Fairgrouds, conveniently located right beside Best Western Bishop Lodge. Perfect for those looking to check out all that the festival has to offer, you can make the most of your day taking in all the events and attractions of Mule Days and only be a 5 minute walk away from a comfortable room where you can take a rest.
