There’s no need to leave Fido at home… Bishop is an incredibly good dog-friendly destination, so come on – pack the water bowl and the poop bags and go find some adventure with your four-legged friend!

1. Dining with Your Dog

Are you looking for a nice patio that both you and your four-legged friend can enjoy together? You’ll be spoiled for choice in Bishop because Astorga’s Mexican Grill, Bishop Looney Bean, Bishop Burger Barn, Black Sheep Cafe, Erik Schat’s Bakery, Great Basin Bakery, Holy Smoke Barbeque, Mountain Rambler Brewery, Pizza Factory and the Upper Crust all welcome wagging tails onto their patios. So there’s definitely no need to dine alone!

2. Park Life

There are some fabulous picnic spots in Bishop. Simply grab some picnic snacks and make your way to the City Park. Stop by the Meat House on Main Street on your way and pick up a dog bone or two - Fido will love you for it. There’s a dog park within the City Park where you can let your pooch run free and make some new furry friends while you sink your teeth into a sandwich.

3. Dog Sitters

If you need to attend a meeting or event while you’re in town, you don’t have to fret about leaving your pooch alone. Rover.com can put you in touch with dozens of responsible dog sitters in Bishop who can visit your dog in your hotel room, take him for a walk or even watch him overnight in their own home. Prices vary by sitter, but they generally start at around $15/night.

4. Pet Friendly Rooms

The Best Western Bishop Lodge is happy to welcome pets under 30lbs. A small daily fee applies, but your four-legged friend is sure to feel right at home in the property’s newly-renovated spacious rooms in the heart of Bishop.
